Toronto Ranked 4th Best City in the World

Toronto was ranked as the 4th best city in the world to live & work this year! Quality of life and a stable political environment were the leading reasons for our high ranking, according to a report from consulting firm PwC. Our biggest negative was traffic congestion (no surprise!).

On a more personal scale, I thought I’d write a few of my favourite things about Toronto…

We’re one of the most multicultural cities in the world! I really appreciate the tolerance of our city, and love all of our eclectic neighbourhoods. The amazing food & festivals aren’t bad either!

It’s growing fast! We recently passed Chicago as the 4th largest city in North America! I love that Toronto continues to grow into more and more of a world class city (which is great for the real estate market)! Aside from our strong economy, we are being recognized for our fashion, cuisine, art, etc. A recent Vogue article on the 15 Coolest neighbourhoods in the world ranked Queen West #2! Check it out here

The variety of recreational areas within a few hours drive- between cottage country, ski country, wine country, beaches, farms, & more, there is never a shortage of activities to get you out of the city for a day or two.

GOLF! Southern Ontario has as wide a variety of golf courses as any city in North America! And per capita, Canada produces more golfers than any country. We have fantastic golf in our backyard, with a number of world class golf courses in the GTA. Find out more here

TIFF. The Toronto International Film Festival is the second most prestigious film festival in the world (after Cannes)! It welcomes an estimated 400,000 attendees each September to the vibrant King West neighbourhood. The restaurants and bars are buzzing, and everyone walking down the street is hoping to spot a celebrity. If you live in Toronto and have yet to experienced TIFF, it’s a must!

Those are a few of my favourite things… I bet you’re feeling pretty good about Toronto after reading this blog! It is an awesome city & without sounding cheesy, I’m so fortunate to have a real estate career here!
